Houghton Lake Walleye Season

It is almost time to enjoy Houghton Lake Michigan for the 2006 Walleye Season Opener.

The team from Outdoor Creations will be on the lake ready to fish at Midnight and we will be staying on the lake for the weekend. We will be stopping off at the Limberlost for food and refreshments for those of you who would like to get a live update.

We will be posting reports, photos and hot tips for all you anglers who enjoy fishing Houghton Lake.

See you out there!

  1. Seen you guys out on the lake last year. You pickedup 7 walleyes in 30-minutes. What were you guys doing and what bait?

  2. Chips,
We did pretty good last year. We have a few hot spots we like to fish and we've programmed them into our Lorance so we can troll the exact path we want to follow.

As far as bait... we highly recommend the Rapala Tail Dancer.

    Good Luck
